Here is something that dawned on me yesterday as I was taking a break at work. We have no excuses to no strive for success in this modern world. We actually live in the most amazing time ever. I mean think about it, in what other time in history could a person sit at a desk and look at a screen and learn anything in the world. People used to spend their entire lives wishing for the opportunities we have today. In the past a writer would have to fight hard to get published and distributed. Now you can sit down at a computer, write all day long, and advertise for yourself. Music is now the same way. Most artists can record themselves now and distribute and sell their music online.
Abraham Lincoln studied some old second-hand law books he bought as a young man. Now we can simply get online and learn pretty much anything on our own. For the self-starters out there, this world right now is a treasure trove of opportunity. The great business men and women of the past had to work and sweat with brick and mortar businesses. Business leaders of today start companies like Google and Facebook. Anyone with an internet connection could take over this world. I think that is the most exciting feeling ever. I'm going to make it a priority of mine to think about this when I get out of bed every morning.

Hi everyone,
My name is Ben and I have recently felt a calling to start this blog. I feel that there is something that everyone needs more of in there lives and that is motivation and positive reinforcement. I can think of several times in my life when a few positive words of encouragement or an idea within my grasp changed my life for the better. I want to help bring that to someone else too. There is so much negative in our lives and everything seems to be quantified in negative terms these days. If I can do thing and improve one person's day then it will be worth it.
